Although there were English soundtrack films at the Al Andalus cinema at La Trocha in Coín in the past, in recent years there has not been sufficient demand to make it viable for the cinema.

Thanks to some persuasive and repeated requests, we now have an opportunity to see English version films in Coin again, initially on the basis of once or twice a month, depending on demand.

To test the market for English soundtrack films, the first film in the series, Yes man was arranged for Monday 2nd February 2009 at 8.00pm and the cinema was a sell-out with over 150 people turning up on the night.

Thanks to the big turn out and support we received, we have been able to follow up Yes Man with Australia, Benjamin Button, Valkyrie, Seven Pounds, The Reader, Harry Potter, 2012 and many more. The coming months will hopefully see a series of top quality films continuing to come to Coin.

Please support this initiative.  It is only by making it successful for the cinema that we will be able to secure a good programme of films in the coming months.  If we don’t use it, we’ll lose it!

Sometimes we have films that have sequences in languages other than English.  At times these sequences may be subtitled in Spanish.  This is not something we can avoid.
