The Andalucian Garden Group meets the second Tuesday of each month at Bar La Peñita (alongside the BP Garage) Alhaurin el Grande. Doors open at 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start. Friday 27th January - Guaro’s  Big Night Out. A social event for everyone to join! Scape Bar in Guaro. from 9pm.  There may even be some dancing!  


Friday 27th January - T.O.P.S. Burns Night is to be held on at Restaurant Carolina at 8.00pm. There will be cockaleekie soup to start, followed by the traditional haggis, mashed potato, carrots and neeps (although there will be English sausage available for those who don't like haggis), and the dessert will be a very merry sherry trifle! There will be a complementary tot of fine Scotch whisky to be used for the traditional toasts, and there will be some traditional music and singing too. Dress will be formal / lounge suit (kilts of course are welcome!) and the ladies can take the opportunity to give their long gowns an outing. Tickets are 15 euros and will be available towards the end of December at the usual outlets.


Saturday 28th January -charity auctions at JK´s in Coín. The team at JKs have decided to continue these auctions on the last Saturday of the month. It will be the same format as before so the doors will be open to sellers from 11.00am and the auction will begin at 2.00pm. 85% of the proceeds will go to the seller and 15% to the chosen charity of the day. Hope you can make it.


Sunday January 29th is Almond Day in Guaro!  The day starts at 11am with a guided rural walk among the almond blossom after which almond soup wilkl be available in the square for one euro a bowl.  Various local products will be on sle and there will be a photography competition. Tuesday 31st January - To celebrate the arrival of Cambridge in Spain, the company is hosting a reception at the Gran Melia Don Pepe Hotel in Marbella on 31 January 2012. In attendance will be Joe Cooper, Director of UK Trade&Investment for Andalusia, and representatives of the company’s UK parent. Tuesday 31st January to Friday 10th February - "HAVING FUN WITH PAINT" - U3A Marbella and Inland painting group members are showing their work at the Casa de la Cultura, Calle San Sebastian, Alhaurin el Grande. Opening hours. 09.30 - 14.30 and 16.00 - 20.30. Please come and see their achievements , and maybe you too can find hidden talents.


Tuesday 31st January - Business Networking Event - Just Inland – Open for Business. An opportunity to meet and chat with fellow Inland business people.  8pm at  Shanti Som between Monda and Ojen.
